A series consisting of gelatin silver, cibachrome, and Polaroid prints of images capturing intimate observations in everyday settings, “Distillation” explores the theme of melancholy as well as formal concerns with abstraction and color. A work from this series was selected by Cindy Sherman for inclusion in Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles’s 20th Anniversary Photography Portfolio.
